New Year, New Reality

New Year, New Reality

It’s a brand-new year! Clearing the past and creating a new future is possible when we choose to look at things from a new perspective.

2020 was an apocalyptic year – like in movies of that genre, scores of people died, and it almost felt like the world was ending. But we can take a different perspective and see it as a new beginning. The earth is thriving, pollution is disappearing, there are blue skies over India and China and the air quality everywhere is much improved. Wildlife is flourishing – dolphins have even been spotted in the canals of Venice!

There is no denying that many people are dying. But what if that’s not something that’s entirely wrong? What if we can look at death differently? Although it may not be a conscious choice, everyone chooses when it is time for them to die. Some people get to the point where they’re miserable and choose to leave and come back in a different body with a different life. For those living in pain and suffering, choosing to leave can equate choosing freedom.

Point being, it’s not ALL bad. Our points of view create our reality. If we can let go of our more fatalistic points of view, we can see that even though the world may never be the same, perhaps that isn’t wrong? What if we’ve arrived at a place where there can be more love, gratitude, peace, and calm? What if all the change of the past year is bringing us to a place where we can thrive?

The End of the World as We Know It?

We’ve been forced to stop travelling, move online instead, and our lives have gone increasingly global. Because we’re not moving around the world physically, we’ve increasingly found ways to connect with others online. I have been able to touch so many more lives by reaching out this way. On a recent video call with participants from all over the world, we created the energy of joy with people from North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, and Asia – a global collection people looking to shift and change together.

We don’t have to look at the past year as an apocalypse. Yes, restaurants have closed, and we’re stuck at home, but rather than focusing on the negative, we can reframe. We can tune into our internal desires and look to what we CAN do that is fun. “If we choose happiness, if we choose joy, it changes our reality, our perspective. It changes our world and creates greater for us.” It’s up to you – what are you ready to choose?
